A sense of purpose

A hierarchy of purpose to which I once subscribed:
                    Being
               Doing
          Having

The hierarchy was built upon the thoughts of humanistic philosopher Erich Fromm and psychologist Abraham Maslow. I soon realized that the hierarchy was incomplete. One cannot just be for very long. Therefore, becoming emerges as a higher purpose than being. The revised hierarchy of purpose:
                         Becoming
                    Being
               Doing
          Having

Ah, but then. I realized I had not yet reached the top of the ladder.
But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
               –First Corinthians 13:13
     All you need is love.
               –The Beatles
Love is friendship caught fire... If you have love in your life, it can make up for
a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is,
      it is not enough.
               –Laura Hendricks

Ultimate hierarchy of purpose:
                              Loving
                         Becoming
                    Being
               Doing
          Having
                                                        So... where are you?
